Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz, undergone mandatory weigh-in

One month before the comeback fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr., undergone the mandatory weigh-in were undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. will go against Victor Ortiz. The mandatory weigh-in is in preparation for September 17 fight between Mayweather vs Ortiz. Floyd Jr. weighed 149 pounds while the world welterweight champion Ortiz was 157.4 pounds. Other fighter
who undergone mandatory weigh-in were also Saul Alvarez (165.5 lbs) and Alfonso Gomez (161 lbs) for their WBC super welterweight championship fight.

Former world champion Erik Morales where face Lucas Matthysse. Matthysse is an disputed WBC super lightweight championship title. Purpose of the 30-day preweigh-in rule, is to monitor the weight of each boxer to be prepared in their fight.

"STAR POWER" is a mega-event taking place on Sept. 17 with three world titles at stake. Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz will face off in a 12-round fight for Ortiz's WBC Welterweight World Title from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Also live in Las Vegas, will be Erik Morales vs. Lucas Matthysse in a 12 round fight for the vacant WBC Super Lightweight World Title and an opening fight featuring undefeated rising star Jessie Vargas against top contender Josesito Lopez.
