Ortiz will Knockout Mayweather in 3 rounds

WBC Welterweight champion Victor Ortiz is confident heading into his September 17 match-up against undefeated fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. A member of Team Ortiz said that the 24-year-old champion is planning to go for a knock out against Mayweather. The 24-year-old WBC welterweight champ is currently walking around 152 and punishing his sparring
partners that include former welterweight title challenger Stevie Forbes. Ortiz is ripped and getting stronger by the day and is responding really well to his training with strength and conditioning coach Hoss.

"He told us he's going for an early knockout; 3 rounds or less," said a member of Team Ortiz.

Ortiz will be the first boxer to face Mayweather in 16 months. There is a slight possibility of Ortiz knocking him out, but I wouldn't count on it. Mayweather's technical skills in the ring are second to none. Mayweather ability to adapt to counter his opponents' style is also something to behold. Assuming Mayweather's physique and reflexes are in top condition, it's going to be a very difficult fight for Ortiz. Mayweather, who is undefeated through 41 fights, is highly favored to win against Ortiz. Mayweather vs Ortiz are scheduled to fight on September 17, 2011 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
