"He told us he's going for an early knockout; 3 rounds or less," said a member of Team Ortiz.
Ortiz will be the first boxer to face Mayweather in 16 months. There is a slight possibility of Ortiz knocking him out, but I wouldn't count on it. Mayweather's technical skills in the ring are second to none. Mayweather ability to adapt to counter his opponents' style is also something to behold. Assuming Mayweather's physique and reflexes are in top condition, it's going to be a very difficult fight for Ortiz. Mayweather, who is undefeated through 41 fights, is highly favored to win against Ortiz. Mayweather vs Ortiz are scheduled to fight on September 17, 2011 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
